Reporting Line: Group Finance Director
The Project Controls Manager shall be responsible for cost control, planning, scheduling, change management, estimating, forecasting and document control deliverables for the project to ensure that project delivers on time to expected Standards at each stage-gate.
The Project Controls Manger shall ensure the development and implementation of cost and schedule baselines and systems to facilitate on-going tracking, measuring, forecasting, management and reporting of project cost and schedule performance, including performance variance analysis studies and the production of official accurate up to date monthly project reports. He shall be the one assisting the Project Manager to liaison with the Client on project progress discussions, negotiations. He shall guide, lead and mentor project specific planners and cost controllers
In addition, the Project Controls Manager shall put in Project Controls procedures and work instructions and shall be responsible for developing the project control team.
Reporting to him shall be, the project specified project control manager (for major turnkey projects) and project planners and project cost controllers.
He shall be reporting to the Group Finance Director hierarchically, but there shall be a functionally reporting line to the Project Management.
Key Skills and Abilities:
University degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical or Civil discipline
Qualification in Project Management
Minimum 15-20 years of experience in the following:
· Construction / Engineering Project Management environment
· Construction management experience
· Contractor Management
At least 9 years’ experience as a Project Controls Manager in a Management position.
Knowledge and experience of oil and Gas construction industry and related operations would be an advantage
